Treasurer - Rich LeVault
My name is Richard L. LeVault. Before joining the Prince William Community Band, I was a trumpet player in the US Army Band system serving with the 25th Infantry Division Band in Hawaii, several more Army Bands on the east coast of the US, and finally serving in Germany. I retired from the Army Band System in Germany in 1998, moving to the Woodbridge, Va area with my wife and three children from Wiesbaden, Germany after twenty one and a half years of service.
I started playing trumpet in 1961 at the age of nine in Illinois. I studied music at the American Conservatory of Music as a teenager, studied music at Western Illinois University in my early twenties, and studied music at the Armed Forces School of Music at the Little Creek Naval Base in Little Creek , Va in 1975. I am well versed in trumpet and organ literature, concert band and brass ensembles, Church literature, and solo performance.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Information System, an Associates degree in Accounting, as well as an Associates degree in General Education
